Research

We use evidence to better understand community needs and help shape programs, systems and services.

Putting research into action

At Mission Australia, our work is guided by the voices of the people we support, backed up by evidence and research.

Our research helps us understand and address the needs of people and communities. We work with universities, community service providers, and government agencies. With their help, we produce reports on significant social issues. We share our findings to contribute to discussions with the government, media, and the community. The work we do helps shape effective policies and programs.

Spotlight on the Youth Survey

The Mission Australia Youth Survey is the largest of its kind in Australia. Since 2002, hundreds of thousands of young people have taken part. Each year, we ask about their experiences, views and aspirations to create a national picture of what matters to young people.

Their voices help shape policies, education programs and community support services across the country.
