Our Board

Guiding Mission Australia with experience and care

Mission Australia’s Board helps guide the organisation and keep it heading in the right direction. The Board checks that Mission Australia is managed well and is meeting its goals and purpose.

Our Constitution requires between six and twelve independent Directors on our board. Our current Directors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in governance and corporate stewardship to Mission Australia.

Mission Australia’s directors are not paid for their service, but board members are compensated for costs incurred as part of their work. They maintain a detailed knowledge of Mission Australia through regular visits to our services, presentations and training.

The duty of the Board

Our Board safeguards Mission Australia's founding purpose and ensures we remain accountable to the communities we serve.

To act with reasonable care and diligence

To act in good faith in the best interests of the charity

Not to improperly use information or position

To disclose conflicts of interest
