How Mission Australia is funded
Mission Australia stands alongside people in need with the support of our funding partners, including government, corporate partners, trusts and foundations and individual supporters.
Our funding makes impact possible
Mission Australia receives support from a range of partners including government, businesses, trusts, foundations and individuals who share our commitment to lasting change. This support enables us to deliver vital programs, respond to emerging needs and invest in stronger futures for people and communities across Australia.

Funding that builds stronger communities
Most of our programs are funded by local, state and federal governments. We manage this funding carefully to ensure every dollar is used wisely, and we report back transparently on how it is spent.
Government funding does not cover everything we do. That is why we also rely on support from corporate partners, community groups and everyday Australians to help fund programs, drive research and support innovation. Donations, regular giving and fundraising events all play a part in helping people and communities thrive.
See how we turn funding into impact
At Mission Australia, we make every dollar count. Whether it comes from government, corporate partners or individuals, we carefully plan how funds are spent to deliver the greatest impact.
At the start of each financial year, we determine how much funding each Mission Australia service will need. If any money is left over, we use it to support services with additional demand or save it to keep programs running in the future.
Because we have different sources of income, we don’t need to rely on just one. This flexibility helps us use our resources, knowledge and partnerships in the best way to strengthen government-funded services. By managing our costs and drawing on support from our National Office, we make sure as much funding as possible goes directly to helping people in need.
