Improved mental health and wellbeing

Providing supportive, person-centred mental health services to foster healing, connection and strength.

What we do

Our community-based mental health services complement clinical care, focusing on healing and resilience. We provide a safe, supportive space to help people strengthen their mental health and wellbeing, so they can lead stable, fulfilling lives.

At Mission Australia, we also believe mental health support can help break the cycle of homelessness. We want everyone to have access to the support they need so individuals can thrive and communities can grow stronger.

Understanding mental health and homelessness

Mental health is central to our wellbeing, shaping how we cope with life’s challenges and connect with others. But when left unaddressed, mental health issues can contribute to housing instability and even homelessness.

At Mission Australia, we support people facing mental health challenges and housing insecurity, working together to build a path forward.

What we advocate for

We advocate for more services that support mental health and wellbeing.

Everyone deserves access to the right support, at the right time. We’re calling for greater investment in proven, community-based programs that support people experiencing mental health challenges.

With the right services in place, more people can improve their wellbeing, stay safely housed and build independence.
