Support for alcohol and other drug recovery

Supporting people to reduce harm and build recovery through compassionate, community-based programs.

What we do

Mission Australia provides compassionate, person-centred support to help people manage their alcohol and other drug use and build healthier, more stable lives.

Our residential rehabilitation, aftercare and community-based programs are free of judgement and built on respect, trust and choice. When someone is ready to access support, we work with them to reduce harm, support safe withdrawal, and offer counselling and other practical help.

We also support people to develop strategies that strengthen their wellbeing, build social and family connections, and continue their recovery journey safely at home and in the community.

What we advocate for

We advocate for better access to community-based services that support people experiencing challenges with alcohol and other drug use. These services should be compassionate, evidence-informed and available when and where people need them. We believe everyone deserves the chance to recover, reconnect and thrive — and with the right support, they can.
