Get the support you need with the NDIS

Whether you’re learning about the NDIS, applying, or already have a plan, Mission Australia is here to guide and support you.

Supporting individuals and families to navigate the NDIS

At Mission Australia, we’re proud to be an NDIS Partner in the Community - supporting people with disability, their families and carers across Australia.

Whether you’re just starting to explore your options, applying for the NDIS, already have a plan, or just need a little extra support - we’re here to help.

There’s no one-size-fits-all path - but we’ll help you find the right support for yours.

Get support through a Community Connections plan

You don’t need NDIS funding to get started. We’ll help you access local supports and make a plan that works for you. We can talk about your goals and what’s important to you, link you to local services and supports, offer information on community programs, and help you explore whether the NDIS is right for you. This is called Community Connections and it’s open to everyone.

Specialist guidance to understand and access the NDIS

If you’re new to the NDIS or unsure where to begin, we’ll help you take the first steps with clear information and guidance. We can help you learn what the NDIS is and who it’s for, check your eligibility, gather necessary documents, and apply. If needed, we’ll also help you explore other support options. Our Local Area Coordinators (LACs) and Early Childhood teams are here to guide you through the entire process.

Be supported to navigate and use your NDIS plan

Once your NDIS plan is approved, we can help you understand what it means and put it into action. We support you in making decisions about services, assist you in finding local service providers, and help you manage your supports to reach your goals. We work alongside you to ensure you achieve your goals in a way that suits you.

Stay on track with ongoing support

Your needs may change over time, and that’s completely okay. We’re here to keep you on track with regular check-ins to see how you’re doing. Whether you’re moving, starting work, or facing changes in your health, we provide support every step of the way. We help you understand your rights and responsibilities and connect you to services during crises or unexpected moments. Mission Australia is here for you not just at the beginning, but throughout your journey.

Who can access our support?

You may be eligible for NDIS-funded support through Mission Australia if:

  • You have a permanent disability or impairment (or your child does), which is likely to be lifelong
  • You are under 65 years old at the time of application
  • You are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
  • You live in an area where we provide NDIS services

If you're not eligible for the NDIS, or you're over 65, you may still be able to access support through Community Connections or other local services. Not sure if you qualify? Just reach out - our team will help you figure it out together.
